Small and Large Scale Enterprise Systems Integration

The process of harmonizing different hardware, software and users in the workplace is nothing short of an art.  In a large enterprise, the task may seem daunting at the start, but with a level head spearheading the planning stages of any systems integration project, the whole procedure can be carried out as painlessly as possible and at reasonable cost.  At the heart of the procedure is deciding the primary motive for adopting an IT (Information Technology) based work environment, and recognizing the positive impact such a move will make on productivity. Systems Integration is defined as the task of creating complex information systems that include designing or building a customized architecture or application, integrating it with new or existing hardware, packaged and custom software, and communications.  In layman terms, it is the act of assembling all kinds of IT hardware and software so that they can work together to produce the systems owners’ desired results. Often, what is more challenging is to ensure that the process of migration from paper to electronic media or from old IT infrastructure to a newer and more advanced version is seamless.  Adding to the task is the proper management of the knowledge dissemination to the human resource operating the equipment on a daily basis so that they are not left floundering in the sea of new technologies.

The Full Picture on Integration

In any workplace that is equipped with computers, work speeds up.  Responses are required in double quick time by clients and everyone at the workplace – manager, executives and the general staff – is forced to shift into higher gears to match the speed of the work process.  Full turnkey solutions of complete office computerization are now very commonplace.  Many industry captains have recognized that this step needs to be taken in order to maintain their business’ competitive edge.  However, some lag time will often follow as staff gets retrained to be more progressive and to adopt a mindset that would enable them to cope with the new pace of work. Bearing in mind that when one moves into IT mode, different problems may arise.  These include systems failure, backup issues, virus attacks and other IT related ailments. The important point to note is that automation and faster work processes is best complemented by top-notch IT expertise to maintain the smooth running of the entire system, pinpoint faults accurately, and react and rectify them with extreme dexterity and speed, so as to keep workplace productivity at its optimum level.

5.      Contract Maintenance Service

Many clients prefer to outsource their IT support rather than employ their own full-time IT staff.  This is especially so when the company is a start-up or an SME (Small and Medium Enterprise).  The presence of an IT support staff may not make economical sense as IT related issues may not crop up on a daily basis.  With proper maintenance and a fortified operating system set-up, end user computers and office servers may only require support when patches and upgrades need to be applied.  This can be carried out twice a month or weekly during routine on-site visits by our professional team of engineers. The contract maintenance service if fully customizable, so that clients are able to enjoy the flexibility of a support plan and terms of services that will suit their needs and budget. The possibility overlapping representative reasons and benefits of fully customizable contract maintenance services are:

  • The advantage to stretch every dollar by fully utilizing support on demand whenever necessary.  Why pay for hours which are not used?

  • The privilege to tap on an outsourced IT company’s wide range of knowledge base as compared to being confined to a single IT engineer’s limited experience

  • Avoid undesirable staff downtime from any from of leave of absence

  • Enjoy the flexibility of multiple site support for individual companies under a single contract
